On this Veterans' Day, I must take time out from punctuation to acknowledge the sacrifice of so many. Though I do not believe that war is the answer, I am grateful there are those who have been willing to serve.
My dear husband, as many of you know, is a 21-year Marine. He went into the Corps on Monday after he graduated from high school on Saturday; was in Korea at 19, where he walked the perimeter of camp at night, patrolling for snipers; and spent two tours in Vietnam.
I am thankful every day of my life that he came home from all of that so that I could meet him and know him and love him.
